Lucky World is looking for Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Drivers to transport goods across the continental United States. In this role, you will drive a 13-speed manual truck, ensuring that cargo is delivered safely and on time. Adhering to all safety rules and regulations is essential. We provide flexible job options. Drivers can choose between 1099 (independent contractor) or W2 (company employee) status based on what they prefer.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport freight over long distances while following company schedules and route plans.
- Safely and efficiently operate and maintain a 13-speed manual transmission truck.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws, including weight limits and hours-of-service regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery logs.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
- Assist with loading and unloading as needed.
Additional Requirements
- A valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record and no violations.
- Experience driving manual transmission trucks (13-speed preferred).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to plan routes and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Willingness to handle long hours on the road, including overnight stays.
- Capability to perform basic truck inspections and manage minor repairs if necessary.
